flashing lights, crushing vocals and the photographs to match the electrifying energy. for Holograph’s Cinetol concert at the start of 2026, we were tasked with capturing the stage presence of one of Amsterdam’s most innovative post-punk groups. not an easy task.
but for onTap photographer Romain Faure, the stage was set perfectly. tucked into Amsterdam’s De Pijp district, we used the lighting and mist of Cinetol’s venue to
exude a sense of intrinsic mystery.
after careful colour grading,
we created powerful contrasts that gave each band member their own main character moment. we love to play with colour, lighting and composition in a way that feels unique. In this instance, and on this stage, everything fell perfectly into place.
Holograph is no ordinary
band, and this had to be represented in the photographs we produced. darkness can be petrifying, but also intriguing. through
the use of darkness, we highlight the enigmatic qualities of Holograph, elevating their essence and maintaining the secret kept between them and their audience that night.
